Coast to join the Fix Auto Franchise

January 2011

Coast Collision Centers is excited to announce that our company has entered into a franchise agreement with Fix Auto USA. Our brand will be changing, but our commitment to operational excellence and customer service will only grow stronger with the technology, marketing, and branding resources available through the Fix Auto group.

Coast Collision Centers have been involved with Fix Auto for well over two years as network shops. “The Fix Auto group is keenly focused on engaging and developing only the highest-performing shops in the industry,” said Rich Fish, President of Coast Collision Centers. “We don’t take changing our Coast brand lightly, but believe that our association with Fix Auto will position us to better maintain our industry-leading pursuit of excellence and better serve our insurance partners and our mutual customers.” Look for further announcements regarding the Fix Auto Transition in the Summer or 2011.

Coast adds New Location in Oceanside

Oceanside, CA - Coast Collision Centers is proud to announce the addition of a new location following the purchase of Ocean Paint & Body Shop in Oceanside, CA. This 45,000 square foot facility features top of the line equipment and a very experienced staff that has been with the company for many years. “We are very excited to welcome Ocean Paint & Body into the Coast organization and to continue their history of top performance and community involvement from the Oceanside location,” said Rich Fish, President of Coast Collision Centers. “I have known Tom Beckerle (former owner) for more than 5 years. His passion for his employees, training, and the right equipment is a perfect fit with the values of our company.” The addition of this third location is part of the Coast Collision Centers regional business plan of providing outstanding collision repair services in multiple convenient locations throughout the Southern CA marketplace.

Coast joins Farmers Circle of Dependability

Our Carlsbad Center has been appointed a Farmers Circle of Dependability (COD) shop. This is a very important recognition as Farmers insures 1 in every 5 vehicles in California. This appointment allows us to serve the Farmers, 21st Century and AIG policyholders in a very streamlined way. We are excited by the chance to expand our business and better serve the Farmers Policyholder in his or her time of need.

Coast centers attain I-Car Gold status

June 2010

We are proud to announce that both our Carlsbad and Tustin Centers were awarded "I-CAR Gold" Status, a result of deep investments in training for our team members at both locations. This designation is representative of a very high level of commitment to industry specific training. Coast has a stated objective that we will maintain the commitment to training necessary to achieve the I-CAR Gold designation each and every year. It should be noted that our Tustin Center was able to accomplish this training level in less than one year of operation.

Coast earns GEICO Shop of the Quarter Award

April 2010

Coast Collision Centers Tustin location was awarded the "Shop of the Quarter Award" from GEICO Insurance for the Los Angeles and Orange County Region. The criteria for this award are a mix of repair cycle time and Customer Service Scores for the entire quarter. The Tustin center won the award by besting all other shops that participate in the regional group. Considering that the Tustin Center has only been open for 9 months, this award is a true testament to the hard work of our team and the leadership of the center manager, Jesse Maytorena.

Coast opens Tustin collision center

July 2009

Coast Collision Centers is proud to announce the opening of our second location, located in Tustin California. This center will bring convenient access to the Coast brand of outstanding repair services to the communities of Orange County. The 23,000 square foot Tustin facility is takes full advantage of the Coast Lean Manufacturing Operating Model and has been enthusiastically embraced by our insurance partners eager to provide a superior claim experience to policyholders.

Carlsbad Center ranked 5th out of 140 peer collision centers!

April 2009

Coast Collision Centers joined The FixAuto Network of shops to access additional operating measurements through their technology and reporting solutions, thereby helping our business achieve excellence and pursue continuous improvement. One of their most useful measurement toolsÊis a performance metrics report that measures performance against 141 other collision businesses across the country.

The Performance Metrics Report includes 5 Key measurements that are ranked individually as well as an overall ranking. The 5 key measurements are as follows: 1) Dollars produced per day 2) Labor hours produced per day 3) Overall repair cycle time 4) Quality 5) Overall Customer Satisfaction Score or CSI.

February was the first month that Coast Collision Center - Carlsbad was included in the ranking, and we are proud to report that our center was ranked 5th out of 140 shops! While this is only one month of results, it is representative of the hard work and determination of our folks.

Record-Breaking October

November 2008

October 2008 was a record-breaking month for Coast Collision Centers in delivering our Lean/Six Sigma process initiative. Our average cycle time for all repairs completed for the month (well over 200) was 3.94 calendar days with a Customer Satisfaction measurement score of just under 98%. Having a highly organized facility, a strong process orientation, a fanatical focus on estimating accuracy, and an excellent retention rate for our highly trained staff has helped drive these results. This outstanding success is evidence that our hard work is yielding substantial benefits for our customers and insurance partners.

Coast Contributes to Local Humanitarian Efforts

Lean Manufacturing Delivers Results

We’ve made great strides in the implementation of our Lean Manufacturing strategy. With this strategy, we’re driving efficient processes through every aspect of our business. During the last four months we’ve already achieved an average cycle time of 6.5 calendar days.
